Classes
To gain maximum benefit it is important to join a class that suits your ability, understanding and general level of fitness. If you are new to this method of exercising you should attend a beginners course or have a private session where you will have an individual assessment and be introduced to the essential principles.
If you have been referred by a medical practioner or had a back injury or surgery then it is essential you have a private session before joining a group class. Once you have mastered the basics, you can attend a relaxed Beginners class or challenge yourself with Intermediate Matwork or Pilates on the Stability Ball. To experience the benefits of Deep stretching, I am now also able to offer Method Putkisto.
Size of classes
There are three possibilities
•Private classes at home studio in Elstree. Tailormade to your exact needs.
•As a step up from private sessions I also offer small classes on a 1:4 ratio in the comfort of my home studio in Elstree. This ensures close supervision.
•Larger classes are held in community halls in Borehamwood and Radlett where the maximum number of participants is 9 although classes are usually smaller.
Flexibility and Choice
Pilates and Method Putkisto both require a commitment to yourself, your body and your wellbeing. To ensure results courses run for a full term usually 12-14 weeks with a mid-term break. Special arrangements can be made if you wish to pay for half a term or try an individual taster session. I realise that sometimes clients are unable to attend their regular class, so to offer increased flexibility, any missed classes can be made up on an alternative day or venue during the period paid for.
